2022 VDFT report

It was a great day for the 2022 Veterans Day Fishing Tournament. While we could not fish on Veterans Day due to heavy rain, Saturday the 12th turned out with excellent weather. The VDFT had a record turnout of 116 teams / boats. The turnout was fantastic and once again we are the largest tournament at Lake Anna for the year. Thank you Veterans past and present, and all of you future Military service men and women and to the great supporters that show their appreciation. Here are a few stats for the day.

We had a total of 224 anglers.

74 Veterans and 150 Supporters

Army………….26

Navy…………..16

Marine……….19

Air Force…….9

Coast Guard…..3

Nat. Guard……..1

A Total of 305 largemouth bass were caught and all but 2 were released alive and well.

659.17 lbs of fish total

We had 2 dead fish.

There were 42….5 fish limits.

74 teams weighed in fish

42 teams zeroed

62 Sponsors

$14,630 worth of sponsored prizes were given out.

35 prize packages to Veterans for $9700

24 prize packages to Supporters for $4930

$5990 was paid out to 24 places

$1050 was paid out for 1st place

$640 was paid out for Big Fish
